Association of Substance Abuse Providers & Professionals (ASAPP)

ASAPP is a professional organization for individuals and organizations in the field of substance abuse and prevention, intervention, and support services in Greater New Orleans.

Mission: to promote the community network of providers and professionals within Greater New Orleans to resolve the issues of substance abuse through collaboration, education, and funding.

Meetings: ASAPP generally meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the United Way Building, 2515 Canal Street, in the First Floor Conference Room. Light refreshments are served. Parking is available behind the building or in adjacent lots as marked.

NOTICE!

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE DUE:

Membership dues are assessed annually in January as follows:

  • $100 for an agency (Agency members are allowed up to five employees per membership)
  • $25 for an individual
  • $10 for a student (Students must present current semester enrollment identification)
  • Not a member: Lunch and CEU's - $5
  • Lecture is free

Membership Application: If you are interested in becoming a member of ASAPP, please call (504) 326-4272 to request an application form.

Officers: ASAPP meetings are conducted by a Chair who serves a term of six months. The Vice-Chair keep minutes and records an automatically assumes the responsibility of the Chair at the end of six months. A Nominating Committee, appointed once per year is responsible for presenting nominees for the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair.

Member Benefits:

  • Continuing Education Credit is available for professionals from LSBCSAC.
  • Networking Opportunities: Members are encouraged to make announcements or bring literature to share with members about upcoming events or services provided by their organizations.
  • Community Awareness and Information: Members will receive timely information regarding a variety of substance abuse issues affecting Greater New Orleans, including funding opportunities, new projects, and regulatory issues.
